August 26, 2011HOOVEN-DAYTON CORPORATION (HDC), an innovative label, coupon, and flexible packaging printer, was named to the 2011 Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row. The list represents the most com- prehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. To be eligible, a company’s revenue in 2007 must have been at least $100,000, and revenue in 2010 must have been at least $1 million. Hooven-Dayton’s ranking was #107 in the manufacturing division and reflects a very respectable three year growth rate of 63%.
“More than ever, this year’s list is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and tenacity of America’s top entrepreneurs,” said Inc. editor Jane Berentson “If you want to know which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500. These are the most dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones finding innovative solutions to prob- lems, creating smart systems, and inventing products we soon discover we can’t live without.”
In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate rev- enue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year. Being named to the Inc. 500|5000 means membership to an elite group. HDC joins Spirit Airlines, Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane (makers of the Rabbit corkscrew), among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, E*Trade, Intuit, GoDaddy, Patagonia, Under Armour, Jamba Juice, American Apparel, Oracle, and hundreds of other powerhouses gained early exposure as members of the list
It is very gratifying to be recognized as one of the nation’s top entrepenurial companies and to be in such esteemed company,” said Kim Wright, Chief Operating Officer of HDC. “I couldn’t be prouder of our outstanding team. Their talent, hard work and dedication have ensured our continued growth and development during a time when so many others are struggling. I am truly grateful to all of them for their commitment to Hooven-Dayton and our customers.”
